It’s my pleasure to welcome you to ACE Academy, Austin’s premier school specializing in gifted education.
I’m often asked about the label gifted and what that means at a school like ACE. It simply means that everything we do is personalized for students who learn differently. From our curriculum to our teaching practices to the physical design of each and every classroom, our school is constructed on best practices and sound research in gifted education. Our students are bright, inquisitive, passionate, and deep thinkers. They relish in an inquiry-based model and hands-on learning that challenges them at every turn. Our students need access, every hour of the school day, to a rich curriculum embedded with social emotional learning, and they need to be guided by teachers who are experts in this field of education.
ACE Academy is more than just a school: it’s a community of learners. Our teachers are invested in the children and families who attend here; our parents are supportive and work collaboratively with the administration; and our students are engaged members of the classrooms. There’s no way to describe the magic that happens at our school, it can only be seen and felt.
ACE Academy has accomplished so much: we have been recognized by the Renzulli Center for Creativity, Gifted Education, and Talent Development; we were awarded best private middle school through Nurture My Child; we received special recognition in 3 key areas: curriculum, teachers, and leadership, during our accreditation process; we revamped our award-winning summer program, Summer Wonders; and we launched a MakerspaACE.
Our focus for the 2020 - 2021 school year is on community. There is no other school quite like ACE and our students are successful in high school and beyond because of what they cultivate here: a strong sense of self, a true love of learning, deep friendships, and an understanding that success means more than just a score on a test; you get what you give.
Thank you for your interest in our school; we look forward to welcoming you.
